Instant Results
Point, shoot, get a number. No waiting — your LAI reading appears in seconds.
Works Everywhere
Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce — trained on a wide range of greenhouse and open-field crops.
How It Works
Four simple steps to accurate LAI measurements in the field.
Open the App
Launch Tamiatics on your smartphone. Works on iOS and Android.
Remove a Leaf
Take a single leaf from the plant and place it on a white background — a sheet of paper works perfectly.
Capture Image
Photograph the leaf against the white background. Keep the whole leaf in frame — the AI does the rest.
Get Your LAI
Receive accurate Leaf Area Index measurement in seconds.
What is Leaf Area Index?
Leaf Area Index (LAI) is a key indicator of plant health and growth. It measures the total one-sided area of leaf tissue per unit ground area. Higher LAI generally indicates more photosynthetic capacity and healthier crops.
Traditional LAI measurement requires expensive equipment or destructive sampling. Our mobile tool uses AI image analysis to provide non-destructive, instant measurements using just your smartphone.
In practice: a grower checks LAI weekly to see if canopy development is on track for the growth stage. If LAI is lower than expected, it's an early signal to adjust nutrition or spacing — before it shows in yield.
